The International Conference on Power Systems is organized every alternate year by an academic / research institution in the Indian sub continent. The objective is to provide a forum for presentation of latest developments, ideas and their applications to the practice of electric power & energy systems engineering. Another major goal is to promote academic- industry interaction and foster collaboration.
The Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur will host the Third International Conference on Power Systems (ICPS 2009). IIT Kharagpur was established in 1951 and is the forerunner of the IIT system of education in the country. The Department of Electrical Engineering started functioning right from inception engaging actively in teaching and research in all current areas of Electrical Engineering. Its alumni occupy key positions in science and technology, education and industry both within the country and abroad.
